The Rotary Club of Decorah

The 2011 Decorah Rotary Club Holiday Luncheon was hosted on Tuesday, December 13th at the Peace Dining Room, Dahl Centennial Union, on the Luther College campus.  Our club enjoyed a splendid holiday meal and appropriately seasonal and good-natured "fines" courtesy of our self-appointed Dean of Sergeants, Jim Friest.  It was a pleasure to welcome the honorary DRC members who were able to join us.  We were also blessed to have Jason Rausch and his Madrigal Singers from Decorah High School (see photo using the "Read More" button below) entertain us with a series of inspirational, classic, and impressively delivered vocal numbers that provided a wonderful capstone to this festive gathering.  We offer our sincere gratitude to DRC member Jon Christy for leading the planning and execution of this event.

Decorah Rotary Club continued its annual tradition of donating and presenting dictionaries to area Fourth Grade students in conjunction with the start of the new school year.  140 dictionaries were recently presented to students at the North Winneshiek, St. Benedict's, and Carrie Lee Elementary Schools.
